Third-party notices

Third-party notices for BubCue, a phone-based baby monitor in development: model and software credits, data licences, sound sources and website illustrations.

Last updated: 7 November 2026

BubCue is operated by MFLOW PTY LTD, ABN 39 633 568 635. Questions about these notices can be sent to .

BubCue is in development and is not yet available to download. The following notices describe material included in its current development builds. Third-party authors and providers do not endorse BubCue. Their materials remain subject to their applicable licences; these credits do not give users a right to extract or redistribute bundled material beyond those licences.

donateacry-corpus

Contains information from the donateacry-corpus, which is made available here under the Open Database License (ODbL) v1.0. Its individual contents are licensed under the Database Contents License (DbCL) v1.0.

The corpus was used in developing the Cry details model. BubCue does not redistribute the corpus's audio recordings. The contributed labels describe suspected reasons for crying; they are not clinical ground truth.

Experimental guess. Development testing has not demonstrated reliable identification of hunger or tiredness. Independent confirmatory validation has not been completed. The guess can be wrong.

YAMNet

BubCue includes YAMNet model material by The TensorFlow Authors, including converted patch-input models for Cry details on iPhone and Android. The upstream work is licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0.

The patch models were converted from Google's official YAMNet source and weights. BubCue changed the input to one log-mel patch and converted the format to Core ML for iPhone and TFLite for Android. The upstream weights were preserved by the conversion described in the project's conversion record. This description does not claim that the model has been validated for understanding an infant's needs.

Android software and models

The Android app uses Google MediaPipe Tasks Audio and Tasks Vision, with Google model material for sound and face analysis, and LiteRT for the converted Cry details model. These upstream projects use the Apache License, Version 2.0. BubCue uses a modified MediaPipe core package that removes its remote statistics-upload path and associated dependencies.

AndroidX and Jetpack components provide Android application, camera, lifecycle and interface functions. ZXing provides QR decoding. Applicable copyright, licence and notice texts for the exact distributed components must accompany the released app; this summary does not replace them.

WebRTC

WebRTC supplies media-connection functionality. Copyright © 2011, The WebRTC project authors. The project's BSD-style licence and patent terms apply to the upstream work. Components incorporated in a WebRTC binary may have additional notices.

BubCue's Android adaptation replaces the upstream Java audio-output class so decoded audio is delivered through BubCue's own playback path. The upstream native library is retained. This is a modification notice, not a claim of endorsement or a new licence from the upstream authors.

Apple platform components

The iPhone app uses Apple operating-system frameworks, including Vision and SoundAnalysis. These are platform components, not models authored by BubCue. Their availability or use does not mean that Apple has approved BubCue's analysis results or intended purpose.

Lullaby credits

The current development builds contain:

MFLOW PTY LTD did not create these recordings. They are provided for playback within Soothe, not as files for download, export or sharing. The current credits are not a representation that the rights needed for every release country have been cleared. The release's track selection may change when the rights review is completed.

Website images, symbols and platform names

AI-generated nursery illustrations are identified beside their use. An app screenshot containing an inserted illustration is not a recording of a monitoring session. Illustrations and screenshots do not demonstrate model accuracy or infant safety.

Apple platform symbols and Google Material Symbols remain subject to their respective usage terms. Custom BubCue symbols are distinguished from upstream symbols in the project's asset register. Fonts used from a device's system font stack are not supplied as font downloads by the website.
